My husband and I had our honeymoon and Davao. This is one reason why it will always have a soft spot in my heart. I find it busy enough but still very provincial and laid-back.
Lately, I have been going there quite often because of work. Last weekend, I was with my mom and my cousin. This time of the year is great since most of the fruits are in season. Davao boasts of succulent fruits as its offering like mangosteen, marang, papaya and pomelo. I do not eat durian. My cousin freaked out when she found out lanzones was selling for P1750 a kilo just on the street where we were staying and bought four kilos. (which we consumed in two days) So at least for this trip, breakfast meant coffee, cereal and sweet, sweet lanzones!!! Yum! Yum!
Changing course now for my regular blog. (what Blog?) as my family and I take our downsizing journey.....Hop on!

Blooms & Greens
Doesn't the picture above look like a postcard? I love gerber daisies or gerbera. My mom who is a physician grows them My parents own a small farm in Alfonso Cavite (Philippines). I have been going there there often lately since the family's farm house in undergoing a major renovation and of course I am at the helm.
Having the time to actually look and appreciate my Mom's plants between fussing over the construction site is such a gift. I don't know about you but flowers never fail to make me smile. They are poetic positivity in themselves. So I leave you hopefully with smiles on your faces and some more photos from the farm.... and maybe a keener eye for more objects of poetic positivity. We all could use them and there is so much out there. We all know it.
Thank you, God for flowers.

Oh and my daughter Yellow was with me and she ordered an over-priced mac and cheese.
Oh well it is a good resto. I will definitely be back. Even if their rest rooms made me claustrophobic. =) Yep, tiny with mirrors and a scary lock.
