Thankful I Have Design

My life is not always a pretty picture.
There are green people,
yellow people
and scary, red people.

There are unsightly edges and fuzzy corners

There is tacky
There is shallow
There is petty

I am thankful I have design
I can re-arrange, revamp, change the colors
Offset the flaws
Highlight the good things

My life is not always a bad picture
There are pink people,
peach people
and people the color of sky
There are things that work
And things that won't

But most things to me, bring joy
There is depth
There is substance

With design, I can make a backdrop,
A life of pretty pictures
Of different perspectives
To design a life of wonders, of bests...
